April 24, 1950-Sept. 14, 2023 Bismarck Thomas 'Tom' G. Shipman, 73, Bismarck, ND died peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Tom was born April 24, 1950, in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Floyd and Shirley (Kalmbach) Shipman. As a young boy and teen, Tom lived and was educated in many places as his father served in the United States Air Force. These included Virginia, Florida, the United Kingdom, Texas, and finally, North Dakota. Tom graduated from Minot high school in 1968 and attended Minot State where he earned his bachelor's degree in economics.
