(Minot, ND) – Governor Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Burgum hosted their seventh annual Recovery Reinvented Thursday in Minot, highlighting North Dakota's progress on addressing the shame and stigma of addiction. Additionally, Recovery Reinvented championed the benefits of recovery – not just for those addicted, but also those around them every day. 'Talking about the disease of addiction will reduce the stigma because stigma is a barrier that prevents people from reaching out for help and connecting to lifesaving resources and services,' Kathryn Burgum said.
