MINOT, N.D. — North Dakotans have the chance to showcase their writing in two contests at this year's state fair. Work will be displayed in the 4-H Hall in the North Dakota State Fair Center during the fair July 21-29. One contest allows a state resident to enter up to three works in any form, including short stories, poems, plays and essays. Entries will be split into three age divisions: 13 and under, 14-20, and 21 and older. Writers can also submit work for the Heritage Contest that seeks entries illustrating North Dakota's culture and heritage.
